Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms are the agreement between you and Trinity for the use of gettrinity.app and the study app. By creating an account you accept them. If you are using Trinity on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept them for that organisation.

2. What Trinity is, and what it is not

Trinity is a study tool. It asks you questions about a passage, points you at the text, and tells you where Christians have historically disagreed. It is software, not a person.

Trinity is not a church, a pastor, a counsellor, or a substitute for any of them. It does not provide pastoral care, mental health treatment, medical advice, legal advice, or crisis support. If you are in crisis, contact a local emergency service or a person you trust.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for what happens under your account. Accounts are for one person; do not share them. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.

4. Acceptable use

Use Trinity for study. Do not use it to harass anyone, to generate material that is unlawful, to misrepresent Trinity's output as the position of a church or a person, or to scrape, resell, or retrain on the service.

Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits or security controls, and do not use automated means to access the service outside any documented API.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Free accounts stay free. Paid plans renew automatically at the interval you chose until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time from your account settings; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.

Prices may change. If they do, we will tell you before the change applies to your subscription. Refunds are handled case by case, and we would rather refund an unhappy reader than argue.

6. Scripture, content and ownership

Scripture quoted in the product is the World English Bible, which is in the public domain. Study paths, prompts, artwork, and the software itself belong to Trinity.

What you write stays yours. You keep ownership of your notes and answers; you give us the limited licence we need to store them and to operate the tutor for you.

7. What an AI tutor can get wrong

Trinity's responses are generated by a language model, and models make mistakes. We build safeguards so that a quoted verse is retrieved rather than invented, and so that disputed questions are presented as disputed. But we cannot guarantee that every answer is correct or complete.

Check the passage. Where a claim matters, weigh it against Scripture and against people you trust. Do not treat the output as authoritative teaching.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Trinity available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features change; some are retired. If we retire something you depend on, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your work.

9. Ending the agreement

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will explain why unless doing so would be unlawful or unsafe.

10. Disclaimers and liability

Trinity is provided as is, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Governing law

The governing law and the venue for disputes will be stated here once counsel has reviewed this document. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under the consumer law of the place you live.
